18th June – Coronavirus update
We are delighted to be able to announce that we are going to be able to – finally – reopen for emergency and urgent treatment on 22nd June 2020.
As per the requirements of the Scottish government that are in place for dental practices, this will be limited to treatments classified as urgent or emergency only. It has been frustrating over the last few months in being unable to offer the level of care we would hope for while the country has been in lockdown.
We have always adopted cross infection procedures in excess of the requirements for dental practices, however we have stepped this up well past the current recommendations for the prevention of spread of Coronavirus, so you will see some changes in the way we work for some time, but please be assured that this is being done for the prevention of the spread of coronavirus.
What to do to book an appointment
Limited appointments are available for urgent and emergency care
This service is available to registered patients at the practice, and if capacity allows, unregistered patients may be seen on a private basis, but existing patients will be prioritised.
If you need to be seen, please call the practice on 0131 663 8800 and leave a voicemail. Your message will be returned and an appointment booked after going through some information regarding your requirements. Please note that while we will try to accomodate everyone, there will be instances where it is not possible to see you under current guidelines or where you may have to wait.
Please note – the door of the practice will be locked and any matters such as appointment booking must be handled via telephone.
We look forward to fully reopening the practice in the coming months, and will keep the information updated here in the meantime.
